Description

"On the trail of life" is the name of the creation trail near Simmerath-Hirschrott. The project of the "Church in the Eifel National Park" network and the national park administration is intended as a meditative hike. On narrow paths, it is intended to provide spiritual access to nature with the help of ten stations.


"On the trail of life" is the name of the creation trail near Simmerath-Hirschrott.
The starting point is the Finkenauel parking lot in Simmerath-Erkensruhr. From this parking lot, it is around 1.3 kilometers to the start of the Creation Trail. The Creation Trail is three kilometers long and can be extended into a circular route.

The meditative hike leads uphill along ten stations to the Leykaul on the Dreiborn plateau. Panels with secular texts and excerpts from the Bible accompany you. A stone labyrinth is also integrated. It symbolizes the path to the center and thus to yourself.
