Experience the water—it’s possible all year round in the Rureifel.
In the summer, head to the outdoor pool or take a dip right in Lake Rur; in the winter, dive into the warm indoor pool. Glide across the water in a pedal boat or paddle a canoe. Whether indoors or outdoors, active or relaxing—water is simply part of the experience here.

Splashing around in the Rureifel

What could be better than jumping into cool, refreshing water on a hot day? Exactly—hardly anything. And in the Rureifel, it’s a wonderful experience: whether at the natural outdoor pool at Eiserbachsee, in Woffelsbacher Bucht, at the Beachclub Eifel in Eschauel, or in the designated swimming area of the Naturerlebnisbad in Einruhr—the water is never far away.

If the weather isn’t cooperating, three indoor pools and the monte mare fun and wellness pool in Kreuzau are waiting for you—for relaxing laps and cozy, warm breaks.

Paddling in the Rureifel

Want to take your own SUP, canoe, or paddleboat out on Lake Rur? No problem—all you need is a permit sticker from the Eifel-Rur Water Authority. You can find all the information and ticket sales locations here

Don’t have your own boat? No reason to stay on land. At Lake Rur and the reservoirs in Heimbach and Obermaubach, you can easily rent a suitable vessel—and dive right into the fun on the water.
