To the Valley of the Beavers
The Süssendell Family Trail to the Valley of the Beavers is a varied hike for nature explorers of all ages. Stretching about 5 kilometers, it winds through the lush Süssendell stream valley and combines nature observation, history, and fun learning experiences.
At four lovingly designed stations, you’ll learn how beavers build their dams, why old bunkers now serve as habitats for bats, what sounds fill the forest, and how even dead wood can give rise to new life.
The trail is easy to walk and follows comfortable forest and meadow paths. It’s family-friendly, varied, and ideal for a half-day outing in nature.
The hike is marked with the number 02.
