Description

Distance: 8.8 km Starting point: An der Streng in Simmerath-Hammer


A hike through the idyllic Rur valley. The trail first leads through the village and past the former hammer mill. Along the Rur and via a path, you reach the height above the valley. The path winds through the forest and a picnic area at the former quarry invites you to linger. After crossing the Rur, the trail winds its way up to Uhusley, continues above the Rur valley and later winds back down to the starting point.
