Anyone who loves the forest will be happy on this tour. The dense fir and mixed forests of the Hürtgen Forest line almost the entire route, which is mostly gentle. You can immerse yourself in the deep silence of the forest over a snack at shelters and rest areas. This is only interrupted along part of the route by the relaxed babbling of the Thönbach stream. Beavers are often drawn to the tributary of the Wehebach dam. Perhaps dams or fresh feeding traces will show you the presence of the eager landscaper. From the vantage point, the wooded panorama opens up once again from a different perspective. A nice end to this family-friendly tour.
