The Kalltal dam in the municipality of Simmerath offers hikers a beautiful circular route for relaxation and nature observation. The "Kalltalsperre" can be easily reached on foot from the "Kallbrück" hikers' car park. Bathing or water sports are not permitted as it is a drinking water reservoir.

    The Luisenhof is situated in a unique recreational landscape in the Eifel National Park. The farm is located in the centre of the small village of Hergarten. Agriculture has always characterised people's lives here. The village of Hergarten is surrounded by wide meadows, fields and green forests and lots of nature.
