Eifel-Blick "Schafsbenden"

This Eifel view, located immediately to the north above the Kreuzau district of Bogheim, offers you a distant view to the east over the Zülpicher Börde to the Ville, with Cologne Cathedral also visible on clear days. To the south-east, the view sweeps across the Voreifel as far as the Kalkeifel, and to the south, the Kermeter, a core area of the "Eifel National Park", is visible.

The "Schafsbenden" Eifel view is perfect for a break, for example if you are on the MTB route B, "Schöne Aussicht", because the name says it all.

From Düren and the Cologne area via the B 399 and K 27 in the direction of Untermaubach. From Heimbach via the L 249 and K 32 to Kreuzau-Winden, after the Rurbrücke bridge take the K 30 to Untermaubach, then change to the K 31 in the direction of Düren (secondary route). From Aachen and Monschauer Land via the B 399 to Gey, then change to the K 31 in the direction of Untermaubach. From the Bonn area via the B 56 to Soller, after the village change to the K 28 in the direction of Kreuzau, then follow the K 39 or 30 to Untermaubach. Change to the K 31 in the direction of Düren (secondary route).

At the K 31 / K 27 junction, please use the parking lane on the K 27 in the direction of Untermaubach. From there it is approx. 1000 m to the "Eifel-Blick".
