The Buntsandstein route is a partner trail of the Eifelsteig and also a feeder trail. It offers the same high quality and attractiveness, meets the criteria of the German Hiking Association and shows the scenic diversity of the Eifel over a short distance - close to nature, with great views and almost no asphalt.

A moated castle, the "Castrum Molbach", probably stood near today's mill from the 12th to 17th century. The name eventually changed from Molbach to Maubach. We follow the signposts 73.
