Haus Sonnentau

Our house is located between the Monschau districts of Mützenich and Kalterherberg on the L106 country road, on the edge of the North Eifel Nature Park and the Hohes Venn moorland. Within a radius of 2 km you will find hiking and cycling trails that will lead you to your nature experience. The old town of Monschau, restaurants and shops are just a few kilometers away.
The vacation apartments on the edge of the forest invite you to relax.

Both vacation apartments are located in the same house, the Brettbaum apartment on the left and the Kirmessief apartment on the right, each with its own entrance. The respective outdoor areas are right next to the apartments.

The parking lot is directly at the house. The wallbox 11KW - 400 volt plug TYPE 2 provides charging for your electric car while you enjoy your free time.

Books, indoor and outdoor games are available for you. The table tennis table, swing and slide offer fun for young and old.

You are also welcome to use the lockable bicycle garage. It is equipped with bicycle repair tools and a power connection.

Hiking and cycling maps as well as recommendations for excursions are available directly from us. Comprehensive material with tour suggestions is also available.

The bus stop right by the house makes it easy to plan your tours.


The property also has a fruit tree meadow and plenty of space to play, or you can simply enjoy your time out.

Guests have written poems or compiled photos of our region in photo books with travel stories. This shows that the guests have felt very much at home.

    Our flat roof bungalow, Bauhaus style, is situated in a quiet blind-alley next to the forest. Through the beautiful hillside , the view may freely wander over the wooded green valley across to the old town and the castle. The upper floor we inhabit; there are our offices. The lower floors exclusively for our holiday guests.We rent two completely separated apartments, can be booked individually or also together.
