The famous Eifelsteig trail and the historic old town of Monschau are just a few minutes' walk away. For cycling enthusiasts, the Vennbahnweg/Ravel can also be reached in a few minutes by bike. This charming vacation apartment is located on the upper floor of the house and is accessible via a separate entrance. An elegant spiral staircase leads you up to all the rooms, which are located on the top floor of the house. The spacious 80 m² apartment offers comfortable space for two people. A checkroom and a separate guest WC await you on the first floor. All other rooms are located on the top floor. The spacious living/dining room is equipped with a flat-screen TV and the decorative fireplace in the living room area creates a cozy atmosphere. From the dining area you can enjoy a wonderful view over the valley of Monschau. The modern kitchen leaves nothing to be desired: it is equipped with a dishwasher, an oven, an induction hob, a fridge with freezer compartment and a Senseo Twist coffee machine. The cozy bedroom under the sloping roof has a comfortable double bed (180x200cm) with high-quality mattresses. The modern bathroom has a shower, WC and washbasin. A parking space is available right outside the front door for easy access. Our small hotel / inn is located in the beautiful Mützenich at 610 meters altitude. The air and the view are unique and invites you to relax. The popular town of Monschau is about 4.5 km from our house. The premium hiking trail Eifelsteig, from Aachen to Trier, passes our inn in 300 m distance. The new Ravelroute (Vennbahntrasse) is about 2,5 km away from our house. Especially for cyclists we have a new garage, which can be used free of charge on request. For our guests arriving by car there is a large parking lot available free of charge. Four-legged friends are also welcome on request. We offer free WLAN in the entire house and in addition to many other, small attentions on our well-equipped rooms, we can still shine with a highly frequented and very good á la carte restaurant. A home-style/ Mediterranean cuisine, rounded off by constantly changing daily specials make many guests very happy. The Venngasthof Zur Buche is now one of the best restaurants in the northern Eifel. For nature lovers and adventurers Walking, hiking, climbing, cycling: Outdoor fans and adventure sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth here. Located right next to the Eifel National Park, the cozy Simmerath-Rurberg Youth Hostel offers ideal conditions for numerous activities in the fresh air. The hostel has an eight-meter-high climbing tower and a high ropes course. Water sports enthusiasts will find their playground on the nearby Rursee lake. Canoeing, sailing and rafting tours are real highlights of an Eifel vacation. And those who prefer to stay on the ground can kick and throw a few balls on the large outdoor area of the youth hostel. In bad weather, the movie room, pool table and table football provide the best entertainment. Our two vacation homes are each located on their own on a park-like hillside plot with mature trees and a fantastic view of the Rursee. They have large terraces and were completely renovated and lovingly furnished in 2025. The natural bathing area in the Woffelsbacher Bucht can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot (via stairs). There is a bathing platform for swimmers and sun worshippers will find plenty of space on the terraced sunbathing lawn, while the landing stage for the Rursee boat trip in Woffelsbach can be reached on foot in approx. 12 minutes (via steps).
