Description

Experience the rugged charm of the quarries, the cool blue of the Wehebach dam, natural stone houses in Vicht and the quiet power of the Roter Wehebach stream on this challenging and varied gravel tour.

The undulating route offers a harmonious mix of open meadow sections and closed forest landscapes. Special attractions include the characteristic natural stone facades in Vicht, the spectacular quarry areas at Bernhardshammer and Binsfeldhammer and the Oberfeld trail, where, with a bit of luck, gliders landing provide unique moments. The subsequent meadow section offers sweeping views, including of the Nierchen spoil tip. The route offers exciting climbs and descents, including the challenging ascent to the Schevenhütte quarry and the rapid descent to the dam wall of the Wehebachtalsperre. There, riders can expect a magnificent panoramic view of the lake and an impressive crossing of the dam wall. The way back leads along the natural Roter Wehebach stream on pleasant forest paths.
