The former factory building of the hammer mill impressively documents the local production and working conditions in the 18th century. The former watercourse that carried the water required to drive the hammer mill can be seen to the side of the historic building.

You will find these factory buildings in the Hammer district at Hammerstr. 23.

    The Red House was built around 1760 as a residential and business house by the cloth maker and businessman, Johann Heinrich Scheibler. Even today, it reflects the lustre of large-scale, upper middle-class living in a rare unity with its complete furnishings in the Rococo, Louis XVI and Empire styles.

    From the smallest mouse to bears and lions, you can go on a journey of discovery here. Experience a tour through nature as it once was or can still be found today. The Nature Learning Experience Museum displays over 1000 specimens on approx. 200 square meters.

    A cemetery located next to the Finkenberg Church, built in 1615 and rebuilt by Tillmann Roland in 1725, with impressive, coat-of-arms-decorated gravestones of the copper master families.
