Pirate action on NRW's smallest open-air stage

A fist-sized ruby, a new pirate crew, and a pact that no one should trust:
On September 12 and 13, 2026, the Pirates Action Theater e.V. will present a new action-packed production centered around the feared pirate captain John Flint on North Rhine-Westphalia's smallest open-air stage.

Heimbach-Vlatten. After the successful productions of previous years, the small stage in the Eifel will once again become the venue for a grand pirate adventure, inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's novel "Treasure Island."

Captain John Flint faces a tough challenge: after the loss of his companion Israel Hands, he needs a new crew. In this endeavor, he encounters the cunning Long John Silver, who promises not only fearless comrades but also knows about extraordinary loot. The ruby "The Star of Carthagena" is expected in Port Royal, and Flint would not be Flint if he let this opportunity slip by. However, Mary Asworth and Edward Harrison are also after the precious stone. When the British sought William Fletcher joins the pirate crew and Jane Vessey, a former companion of Flint's, reappears, the game takes off. Who will hold the ruby in their hands at the end remains a secret until the performance.

The production focuses on wit, pace, and action. Sword fighting scenes, stunts, as well as light and pyro effects create a special atmosphere, especially during the evening performance. Behind the Pirates Action Theater is an association that is maintaining and developing a unique open-air playing space in Heimbach-Vlatten. With around 250 seats, North Rhine-Westphalia's smallest open-air stage creates a close connection to the action.

Performances will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
The marketplace opens two hours before the show starts with snacks and drinks.
