BABA Explosion – ABBA Tribute Show

Open Air at Wervicq Platz Roetgen

100 % live – explosive, captivating, and full of unforgettable hits
The music of ABBA has delighted people around the world for decades. Hardly any other pop band has influenced generations so profoundly: From grandparents to teenagers, everyone knows and loves the songs of the Swedish pop legend.
BABA Explosion – many years a successful ABBA tribute band under the name "ABBA Explosion" – presents these legendary songs in an exciting live show that clearly differs from performances of other ABBA cover bands. While many ABBA tribute bands rely on sequencers and digital recordings, BABA Explosion focuses on one thing: 100 % real live music. The experienced musicians and singers impress with a finely tuned, energetic band sound that respects the originals while setting new musical accents.
A special trademark of the band is surprising musical moments: Time and again, short quotes from music history are integrated into the well-known ABBA songs. For example, a rocky or Latin groove can open "S.O.S.", "Mamma Mia" or "Waterloo" before the song seamlessly transitions into the familiar original.
Even "Dancing Queen" can end in a charming homage to other great classics of pop history. These creative elements create excitement and freshness while retaining the authentic character of the songs.
In addition to the powerful live sound, the show itself impresses: The two charismatic singers, accompanied by excellent musicians, provide an energetic stage performance full of charm and joy of playing. The inclusion of the audience and the closeness to them ensure a sympathetic and professional entertainment.

Another emotional highlight of the program is the "ABBA Unplugged Medley," in which several songs are played with acoustic instruments – a special moment that invites audience participation, dreaming, and singing along.
BABA Explosion takes the audience on a musical journey back to the world of the 70s and 80s – featuring the greatest ABBA hits, passionately interpreted, musically varied, and 100 % live.

Authentic, energetic, and full of joy of playing – that is BABA Explosion.
