This is us We, Sabine and Thomas Kuck and our three children, welcome you to our family-run guest house on the edge of the High Fens, the largest and still intact upland moor in Europe. Our guesthouse, which was built in 2013 and extended in 2020, is located on the outskirts of Mützenich, in the municipality of the picturesque town of Monschau, and has been classified with four guesthouse stars by DeHoGa Düsseldorf. We are also certified by the adfc "bett & bike" and are a recognized host "Wanderbares Deutschland" (Hikeable Germany). two good restaurants are within walking distance. You will find further culinary offers in Monschau, four kilometers away, but also in the neighboring communities of Simmerath and Roetgen. What we offer Are you looking for rest and relaxation or would you like to actively discover the nature of the Eifel and Ardennes? Are you planning a trip to the medieval town of Monschau, the Eifel National Park or would you like to discover one of the traditional cities such as Aachen or Maastricht? Then we are the ideal starting point for your activities. Whether you are traveling alone or in a group, we offer the right accommodation, free parking directly at the house and you can store your bicycles and motorcycles in our garage on request.While the "little ones" let off steam on our playground with trampoline and soccer goal, the "grown-ups" can relax on our comfortable seating or loungers within sight. In our new cozy breakfast room, you can start the day fresh and rested with a wonderful view of nature. Enjoy our breakfast buffet daily from 8 - 10 am. In addition to fresh rolls and bread from the local bakery and regional sausage and cheese specialties, we also offer homemade jams and honey from the Eifel beekeeper. Our extensive breakfast buffet includes various types of muesli, seasonal fruit and vegetables and ... eggs from our own hens. We also serve fresh coffee, various types of tea and milk. Groups: Groups are very welcome in our house. We are happy to provide you with our cozy breakfast room as a lounge in the evening. This spacious vacation home (55m²) is located on the edge of the Eifel National Park and only a 15-minute walk from Lake Rursee.From the balcony you have the most beautiful view of the village, over the beautiful mountain landscape of the Eifel. The apartment has two bedrooms with a king-size double bed (2 x 2 meters) and two single beds.

W-LAN and parking lot free of charge. Bistro and restaurant menu. Family-run hotel with 7 double rooms and 2 single rooms, lovingly renovated in recent years, breakfast can be booked for € 10.00 per person per night. Dogs are welcome!

From the apartment/DG you have a wonderful view of the Rursee and the Kermeter-Hochwald (national park). The apartment/EG with sun terrace. Crib available on request. Both apartments are equipped with separate bedrooms, shower/WC, living room with pull-out sofa bed and fully equipped kitchenette incl. microwave. Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Spend your vacation within historic walls! Our vacation apartments are located in the over 250-year-old manor house of Vlatten Castle, in the middle of a beautiful park with old trees, medieval ruins and many enchanted corners.the history of the castle can be traced back to the Middle Ages. Initially, there were two castles in Vlatten: the upper castle and the lower castle. While the lower castle has disappeared today, the upper castle has survived over the centuries. The ruins from the 14th century, especially the impressive round tower, are now part of the picturesque park. In the 19th century, the castle was converted into a representative manor house; later, the residential building and the farmyard were separated by a wall. The two-winged residential building was given a historicizing tower on the east side in 1908, and the castle changed hands several times over the centuries until it was finally bought at auction by the industrialist Julius Rüttgers from Berlin in 1882. He gave the castle to his daughter Emilie, wife of Major General Ernst Freiherr von Gagern, in 1883. The von Gagern family still live in the castle today. A well-known member of the noble family was Heinrich Freiherr von Gagern, the president of the first German National Assembly in 1848. However, he died three years before the castle came into the possession of the family. Our vacation apartments are stylishly and comfortably furnished and ensure a pleasant indoor climate thanks to healthy building materials such as clay plaster and wood.
