Walter Sittler - "ich bin immer noch da"

When Dieter Hildebrandt passed away in November 2013, there was still a whole, finished program that he had planned as a farewell:

“Come to the end, Hildebrandt!”

It was published in book form as “Last Addition,” and Walter Sittler recorded it as an audiobook.
Across the republic, the actor Sittler, who had always felt committed to the legacy of Erich Kästner, collected applause and enthusiastic reviews en masse with his extraordinarily sensitive and simultaneously gut-busting performances of the punchlines of the Kästner admirer.

And since the Hildebrandt texts from 60 years are not only a constant source of joy but also astonishingly far-sighted and timeless, especially in the characterization of the domo Politicus, the program is being continued and expanded under the title: “I AM STILL HERE”

What some right-wing conservatives might perceive as a threat is in this case a promise for all others that Walter Sittler will continue to keep alive and carry on the uncomfortable thoughts of one of the greatest German cabaret artists.
