Rureifel tour in Stolberg-Mausbach

During the autumn mushroom season, we invite you to learn about the local mushroom species, their characteristics & peculiarities in the Stolberg forest area Süssendell under expert guidance - tips for usage included. The approximately 3-hour educational hike is led by Dr. Uwe Koch, a certified mushroom expert recognized by the German Mycology Society. He will take you on a fascinating discovery tour into the world of mushrooms in the Stolberg forest. How do you identify mushrooms, what should you pay attention to when foraging, and which mushrooms should absolutely be avoided? These and many other questions will be answered on-site. Please bring a mushroom basket, a (folding) knife, sturdy footwear, and weatherproof clothing, as the hike will take place in any weather. The focus of the tour is on imparting knowledge - however, if you have collected some mushrooms, they will be checked by our mushroom expert afterwards and approved for consumption. Please note that the hike primarily takes place off paved paths. Therefore, the route is not suitable for strollers. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed, we ask for your understanding.
