Our hike starts in the heart of the smallest town in NRW.  Just shortly after the start, we admire one of the many artworks in Heimbach. From here, our path leads steeply up to the Meuchelberg over adventurous trails. Along the way, you will enjoy spectacular views of the idyllic Rurtal, the imposing Hengebach Castle, and the Art Nouveau hydroelectric power station. Once we reach the top, we take a break at the unique Eifel Loop. From here, the view stretches over the Rursee and the mountains of Kermeter. The return path takes us past striking rock formations and multi-stemmed oaks of the Meuchelberg – a botanical curiosity, the secret of which we are on the trail of.
 
The hike partly takes place on narrow paths that perfectly reflect the charm of the region. The hike is not suitable for strollers. Sturdy shoes / hiking boots with a profile sole are highly recommended for this tour.
 
This tour is ideal for a brief insight into the diversity of the Eifel. You will experience dreamy nature, fabulous culture, and impressive views of the Eifel landscape.
