Frieden und Licht im November

Mantra concert with sound bath on the Sunday of the Dead at MuK Konzen

Monschau-Konzen. As the days grow shorter and the Sunday of the dead invites us to pause, it becomes quiet and harmonious in MuK Konzen: Under the title "Peace and Light in November," the Eifel acoustic duo Syl & Dan and sound artist SONOS:PHÄRA will create an evening of mantra singing and sound bath on Sunday, November 22, 2026. The event starts at 6 p.m.

Syl & Dan are Sylvia and Daniel Wiegand from Simmerath-Eicherscheid. With voice and guitar, they present their own mantras and songs. The simple melodies and their repetition allow everyday life to fade into the background and create space for tranquility. They are supported by the percussionist Björn Förster from Konzen, who adds rhythmic depth to the evening. Those who like can join in singing; no prior knowledge is required.
SONOS:PHÄRA complements the evening with a sound bath of singing bowls and gongs. Their deep, resonating tones invite you to lean back, close your eyes, and let the sound carry you. Thus, between singing and sound bath, an evening emerges that is less a concert in the classical sense and more a shared time of listening and arriving.

Especially on the Sunday of the dead, when many people think of those who have passed away, it offers a fitting setting. "It is important to us to create inner peace and the feeling of community in this hectic and turbulent time," say Sylvia and Daniel Wiegand. Grief, gratitude, and hope should have equal space on this evening – so that the visitors can enter the dark season with a bit more peace and light.

The MuK Konzen at Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 2 in 52156 Monschau-Konzen opens its doors at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets cost 25 euros in advance, and 29 euros at the box office. They are available at www.sylndan.de or by email at info@sylndan.de.
