On the guided cycle tour through the copper town, participants can take a stroll through the interesting former business locations and their history in the Stolberg urban area.

Tour leader Peter Sieprath welcomes the cyclists to the moderately difficult 25 km tour and first explores the Münsterbach valley, where the former copper mills are located. After a stopover at the Zinkhütter Hof industrial museum with a short guided tour of the "Stolberg Gold", the group cycles on via the Gedau valley to Dorff, before taking a short lunch break in Breinig at the information center on the Schlangenberg.

The information center, run by the Eifelverein Breinig, provides information about the unique galmei flora and fauna on the Schlangenberg. In the past, the former galmee mining area served as the main supplier for the copper masters in the 18th and 19th centuries.

On the Stolberg Vennbahn route, the trail leads along today's industrial axis in the Vichtbach valley to the historic old town. Here, the participants pass by the copper masters' former production sites, the copper yards, in many places. The tour then leads through the city center via the "Mühle" district back to the starting point.

We recommend packing a packed lunch and wearing weather-appropriate clothing for the 5-hour tour. We are also happy to organize a lunch for the group.

The dates can be requested from Stolberg Touristik, registration required! Duration approx. 5 hours.

This tour can also be booked individually for a group with a maximum of 15 participants.
