Führung zur Stolberger Brauhaus-Kultur
Hops and malt, God forbid
Beer was one of the staple foods of Stolberg workers during the industrial heyday in Stolberg. A figure from 1908 shows that there was a strong brewing industry here with corresponding pubs. In this year, the town of Stolberg ranked first in the entire Rhine province at the time with 94 pubs.
Where were the breweries located in the old town and how has the industry developed over the decades? The guided tour of "Stolberg's brewery culture" is dedicated to these and other questions.
During the tour, Stolberg's favorite beer, the Ketschenburg Pils, will of course also receive its due recognition. This pilsner has probably had the longest staying power in Stolberg and was brewed here until 1985. Even today, "Ketsch" can still be found on the drinks menus of selected pubs and on many supermarket shelves in and around Stolberg.
Individual bookings for groups of up to 25 people are possible on many desired dates.
