Bicycling is comfortable in the Rur-Eifel region. The day tour around the Kalltal valley, the Neffelbach route or the ‘RurUfer’ bicycle path are examples for family-friendly bicycle routes.

The young Rurains (River Rur) has its source in the moor and heath landscape of the Belgium High Venn. A way of almost 180 km lies in front of it, until it flows as Roer into River Maas in the Dutch city of Roermond.
